We are seeking an enthusiastic and sensitive early childhood education professional for a 3–5 year old group in a fixed-term contract until 31 August 2026 or as agreed. The teacher will be responsible for shaping the group’s daily culture and learning environment, planning, implementing, developing and evaluating pedagogical activities in accordance with the Vantaa early childhood education and pre‑school plan and unit action plan, together with other staff. We value good teamwork and interaction skills, and the ability to recognize each child’s individual needs. The role involves multi‑professional collaboration, genuine engagement with children and parents, and a focus on social skills and participation. The unit uses the ProVaka method for supporting social skills; you commit to acting according to its principles with the unit’s staff. There are clear leadership structures; you will have opportunities to participate in the unit’s management group work. A broad special education teacher supports the unit especially in matters related to child support. The kindergarten is located in Kivistö with accessible transport, five groups, and a shared activity space. The unit belongs to the Aurinkokiven service centre, which also houses a school, student services, maternal and child health, music school and art school. We look forward to hearing from you.
