We are seeking a skilled and motivated HEALTHCARE ASSISTANT for a permanent position at Merenpisara, a unit specialized in intensive assisted living for progressive neurological diseases, located in Helsinki’s Arabianranta with good transport connections. Our core client group consists of people living with MS or other progressive neurological conditions whose functional capacity is reduced due to disease. Our residents are long-term and content; a thriving resident is our top priority. Responsibilities include providing person-centered care, collaborating with a team, and, when needed, making independent decisions. We require: social and health care qualification (lähihoitaja or perushoitaja), registration with Valvira, LOVe certificates (can be completed after starting), Finnish language proficiency adequate for a lähihoitaja role, willingness to work in three-shift and night shifts. We value genuine interest and experience in working with people with significant disabilities; we expect good communication and teamwork, with the ability to act independently when necessary. We are a non-smoking workplace and require vaccination under the Infectious Diseases Act. Before employment, a criminal background check per law is required for those working with people with disabilities. We offer: salary according to TES G20C and recruitment allowance, starting at 2743.03 €/month, comprehensive orientation, Epassi wellness/fitness/culture allowance up to €200/year, flexible scheduling, ergonomic work environment with assistive devices, training opportunities in neurology, occupational health, extensive occupational health care, accident and life insurance, free coffee/tea and pastries on Wednesdays, Tyhy days, parking, and a monthly magazine delivered to home.
