Are you a digitally oriented physician who wants to treat a diverse patient population in primary health care? Do you want to work in a multi-professional team that seeks the best plans to improve patient health one patient at a time? Join HyVä-digi, the digital health hub of Itä-Uudenmaan welfare region, where work is done with a big heart. The region seeks doctors for permanent or fixed-term positions starting 17 September 2026 or as agreed. We primarily seek part-time physicians, especially for morning (8:00–16:00) and evening shifts (13:00–19:00), but Saturday shifts (9:00–15:00) are also possible. The position is located at HyVä-digi digital health hub and is primarily consultative, with potential for chat-based care. Hybrid work occurs partly at HyVä-digi and partly at regional health centers (Askola, Loviisa, Porvoo, Sipoo) or can be adapted to the centers’ physician availability. In autumn 2023 HyVä-digi provides remote services in health care, social guidance, physiotherapy and dental health; professionals serve patients in real time via chat and conduct video visits. The operation is integrated with the rest of the welfare region and cooperation with brick-and-mortar services continues to deepen. One in four residents has used HyVä-digi. Our patient is at the center and we aim to resolve issues without pushing patients from unit to unit. Telework is not an end in itself, though we have developed identifying remote-benefit situations, e.g., chronic disease monitoring. We value development-minded professionals. The doctor’s role includes responding to nurses’ consultations, formulating and recording treatment plans, prescribing necessary referrals and medications, and other duties within the physician’s remit. The head of the unit is the responsible physician who provides remote clinical support. We offer a comprehensive onboarding program to acquaint you with the health center services and IT systems, and to introduce you to colleagues at HyVä-digi. Occupational health services are provided by Mehiläinen. The eligibility requirement is a licensed physician in Finland with YEK or at least 3 years of physician experience, including 9 months in versatile primary health care. Language requirements include good oral and written skills in one domestic language and good oral skills in the other domestic language. Working language in the unit is Finnish and patient records must be prepared in Finnish. Success in the role requires general practice understanding plus strong digital skills and proficiency with multiple systems (electronic health records, digital platform) and a proactive, solution-focused work approach. Familiarity with Lifecare patient records, remote health tasks in public health care, and experience as a consultant physician are advantageous. Employment terms follow the Health and Social Services Contract (LS) and pay is based on a career ladder with performance-based incentives; for example, full-time total pay on ladder L1TK001D has been about 7500–8000 €/month. Evening and Saturday shifts include LS on-call allowances. Working hours can be arranged to suit the employee and are between 8:00–19:00 on weekdays and 9:00–15:00 on Saturdays. HyVä-digi work is primarily remote and equipment is provided by the employer. Employment can be conducted within Finland. A six-month probation clause applies in permanent positions, and selection is conditional on a health screening assessment within one month of starting. Vaccination protection per infectious disease law and TB screening are required. Please submit your application by 13 September at 23:59. Interviews will occur during the application period.
