The Role Key Responsibilities Design and govern enterprise application architectures, reference architectures, and technical standards to support business and technology objectives . Develop High-Level Designs (HLDs), Low-Level Designs (LLDs), architecture blueprints, and technical documentation for enterprise applications and platforms. Define and enforce coding standards, development of best practices, technical guidelines, and SOPs to ensure solution quality and consistency. Create architecture models, workflows, and system designs using UML and other design and diagramming tools. Lead application design reviews and ensure alignment with architecture principles, performance requirements, and technical standards. Define application performance metrics, identify performance bottlenecks, and recommend optimization strategies to improve scalability and reliability. Provide technical leadership across application development initiatives utilizing Java or .NET technologies, middleware platforms, and modern UI frameworks. Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and business teams to deliver robust, scalable, and maintainable application solutions. Serve as a subject matter expert and mentor teams on application architecture, design methodologies, and software engineering best practices. Support AI-enabled transformation initiatives including copilots, agentic workflows, RAG-based applications, model integration, governance, security, and responsible AI adoption. Required Experience and Skills: 10+ years of overall experience 4+ years' relevant experience in banking or financial services 1. Application & Design Architecture Creating and evaluating reference architectures High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) UML design tools and diagramming Definition of coding standards, best practices, and technical SOPs Application performance metric definition and bottleneck mitigation 2. Software & UI Frameworks Expertise in Java technologies OR .NET technologies Expertise in middleware technologies Expertise in modern user interface (UI) frameworks Preferred skills: Cross-platform framework experience (Flutter) Mobile development platform knowledge (IBM MEA / Kony, etc.) Familiarity with architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, Open Agile Architecture, Domain-Driven Design (DDD), SAFe , capability modelling, and value-stream mapping. Working / hands-on experience with EA tools (e.g., Mega Hopex , Avolution ABACUS, Planview, Orbus iServer ) Consulting and Leadership Ability to develop business cases, architecture blueprints, transformation roadmaps, and executive-level recommendations. Strong consulting, stakeholder management, facilitation, presentation, and executive communication skills. Experience leading architecture teams and influencing engineering, product, business, and technology stakeholders. Ability to train teams, mentor architects and developers, and promote architecture adoption across organizations. Education - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, or equivalent. MCA, MTech , M.Sc. or equivalent postgraduate qualification is acceptable. MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is desirable.
