HUS Diagnostiikkakeskus is Finland’s leading producer of clinical laboratory and imaging services. Our main activities focus on specialized hospital care within the HUS system and primary health care in the welfare areas belonging to HUS. We also oversee laboratory and imaging operations for the Kymenlaakso and South Karelia welfare areas. We operate in eight medical specialties and nationally handle several demanding studies, as well as research and education for the university hospital. Diagnostic studies play a central role in confirming diseases, evaluating treatment, and monitoring and screening. The Diagnostics Center employs about 3,400 laboratory and imaging professionals across more than 150 sites. We are opening a permanent full-time Laboratory Nurse position in our unit. We seek a professional who is enthusiastic about diverse patient-facing work and teamwork. Our multidisciplinary team consists of over 50 professionals and operates at multiple sites around the Meilahti hospital area, in both outpatient and hospital environments. Your duties include a variety of laboratory nursing tasks, such as blood, urine and gynecological sample collection; glucose tolerance tests and ECG registrations; sample handling and dispatch; external quality assessment; collaboration with care units; patient guidance and counseling; and routine and other user maintenance.
