About the role

Role Details\nBusiness, Location: Shanghai, China\nRole: Technical Sourcing Engineer\nReports to: Supply Chain Manager\nDirect Reports: None\nPrimary Purpose: Establish OI Service Parts Inventory in country through global sourcing to develop and lead business relationship with suppliers by implementing RFQ (Request for Quotation) & price comparison, negotiate price and commercial terms according to Group Strategic Sourcing policies and procedures.\nKey Responsibilities: Supplier selection and local sourcing strategy setting for service parts. Understand local service parts inventory and implementation of procurement processes. Responsible for signing and management of general purchasing conditions agreement, frame contract with suppliers. Lead the tasks of auditing, evaluating new supplier and existing suppliers with other departments together, also the supplier management at daily works. Supplier quality, service, relationships and performance to agreed cost base as appropriate. Contracting, contract management, and risk assessment. Monitor supplier’s performance and support supplier to make improvement. Completion of other tasks or projects assigned by management. Indicative Performance Measures: Supplier development, Cost reduction, OTD, Quality Performance, Lead time from PR to PO. Person Specification – Essential requirements: Education / Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or above in mechanical or electrical engineering or equivalent. Professional Skills/ Abilities: Complete understanding of sourcing policies and procedures; Strategic, analytical, with good researching skills; Demonstrated ability to work and build supplier relationships; Excellent project management, communication, and negotiation skills; Understanding of commercial & financial aspects of direct / indirect; Familiar with procurement process, supplier evaluation, quality system. Personal Qualities: Proactive and dynamic, drive sense of urgency; Good teamwork in a matrixed organization and can work under pressure; Excellent oral and written English skills.
