Product Development Project Manager

Job description As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for the planned delivery of Savox’s product development projects from idea through to production. You will typically lead a couple of projects and ensure that objectives, schedules, resources, quality requirements and costs are achieved as planned. You will play a key role between stakeholders and lead a multidisciplinary project team combining software, electronics, audio, mechanics, testing and production expertise. Success requires the ability to manage the big picture, make decisions amid uncertainty, and identify and manage project risks proactively. You will work closely with product managers, design teams, procurement, production and other business functions, ensuring that products meet customer needs and are ready for a successful transfer to production. Responsibilities - Plan, lead and monitor product development projects throughout their lifecycle. - Prepare and maintain project plans, schedules, resourcing and budgets. - Coordinate multidisciplinary product development teams and ensure effective collaboration between disciplines. - Identify, assess and manage project risks, and lead corrective actions when needed. - Ensure projects progress in accordance with product development processes. - Facilitate project meetings, follow up on decisions and maintain an overview of project status. - Report project progress regularly to steering groups and other key stakeholders. We are looking for We are looking for a proactive and self-directed person with flexibility and the ability to work under pressure. You are a team player who is confident being yourself. You communicate exceptionally well and clearly with both technical experts and business stakeholders, and can build a shared understanding of project goals. We hope you have: - Strong experience leading product development projects in a technical environment (for example, as a consultant or in an in-house R&D function), OR a previous background as a designer (HW, SW, audio or mechanics) combined with at least a couple of years’ experience as a Project Manager. - Understanding of hardware product development. A Project Manager with a strong software background is also an excellent fit, provided you have experience or understanding of projects that have included hardware, mechanical or audio design. - Experience in risk management, project reporting and steering-group work. - Experience managing schedules, resources and stakeholder groups. - Experience successfully taking products into production. - Fluent Finnish and English.
