Information Specialist

An information specialist to develop and implement outreach services for the regional library network. Responsibilities include designing, onboarding and developing outreach services, organizing the operation and route planning of the Joensuu library van Mysteer, participating in customer and information services on routes and materials acquisitions for the library van, and home library service. The role requires insight into target groups for library services and outreach services, strong communication and ICT skills, and the ability to work flexibly in a team with varying work days. The library van stops serve diverse customers: sometimes a classroom of children, sometimes more adults and families. The library van Mysteer operates from the main library. Preferred to understand the technology of library vans or hold a C-driver's license and professional driving qualification. Current outreach services include library van services, home service and prison library work. Seniority work is planned to be developed in the coming years. Joensuu library cooperates with Vaara libraries and covers the same region. The job is to be filled from 1 October 2026 or as agreed. Excellent pay according to the job’s grade 2KIR42B1: 3018,01 EUR.
