Healthcare Assistant

A healthcare assistant role at Alavuden home care in Alavus. The position is permanent and starts by agreement. The work is varied and interesting, focusing on the care of elderly clients in their homes. The Alavuden home care unit provides services according to the individual needs of the client, with emphasis on tasks such as wound care, medication administration and functional assessments, in close cooperation with clients and their relatives, and with a focus on patient self-care. The day-to-day duties are diverse, and you will work independently with responsibility, while developing professional skills. We expect you to be ready to face new situations, and to have good teamwork and communication skills. The job requires good organizational ability and flexibility in changing situations. The unit serves clients every day of the year and operates in three shifts; the posted shifts are mornings and evenings because there are permanent night nurses in the unit. Qualification: social and health care sector basic qualification, enrolled nurse (Laki 559/1994 or 817/2015). We require registration in the National Registry of Health Care Professionals (Valvira). A driving license and own car are required. Medication licenses for home care must be completed or completed within one month from start. Language requirement: good written and spoken Finnish. We evaluate fit for the role and the team. Employment terms and pay are determined according to the applicable SOTE collective agreement, with task-specific pay at the start of the employment: 2,767.43 EUR per month. A probationary period applies. A certificate of health and a criminal background check under Act 741/2023 must be presented before taking up the position. A drug test may be required. HYVAEP is a nicotine-free workplace. The required vaccinations under the Communicable Diseases Act section 48 and a certificate about tuberculosis under section 55 are required.
