Newspaper Distributor

The job is for an early-morning newspaper distribution role in Turku and nearby municipalities. The distributor works roughly 3-5 hours per night, typically between 01:00 and 06:00, delivering newspapers, magazines, and addressed mail on predefined routes. The work schedule generally comprises six workdays and two days off, offering a regular rhythm. In Turku, routes are mainly on a company-provided bicycle; outside Turku routes may be performed with the employee’s own car or the employer’s car. A mileage allowance is paid for using a personal car. Pay is determined by the collective agreement between the Industrial Union of Finland (Teollisuusliitto) and the Media Union, with an average hourly rate of about 12–13 €/h for a new distributor, plus paid introductory training during daytime and hands-on guidance on the route at night. A €900 onboarding grant is paid during the first nine months. The job offers either a permanent or fixed-term contract depending on route availability. Comprehensive training and support, predictable working rhythm, independent work with responsibility for own routes, and a physically active outdoor job with health services are provided.
