Mechanical Craftsperson
Brief Mechanical Craftsperson needed for a well-known, large Facilities Management organisation based in Birmingham who are looking to employ an experienced and well-rounded Mechanical Craftsperson that takes pride in their work with an in-depth knowledge of Mechanical crafts in diagnostics, repair of mechanical systems, water systems, legionella, TMV and AHU Servicing. The successful candidate would have a relevant qualification - i.e. NVQ Level 2 or 3 Plumbing or Heating and Ventilation etc. - and have an interest in Mechanical Crafts. If you have commercial experience in healthcare that would be a plus! The role entails site duties at the Mental Health Sites of Barberry, Oleaster & Zinnia, with duties to maintain all services to NHS Trust, onboarding paperwork, KPI compliance, and on-call rota. DBS Enhanced with Barred Lists clearance is essential.

Responsibilities
- Undertake any reasonable duties directed by TSM/Supervisor/Helpdesk to maintain all services to the NHS Trust, and ensure that all associated paperwork is completed in a satisfactory, accurate and prompt manner
- Perform the complete range of Mechanical Craftsperson tasks as required or directed by management
- Carry out all works in compliance with KPI's and contract
- Have a knowledge of water / mechanical systems within a healthcare environment and maintenance / testing activities
- Have a knowledge of Legionella and other water pathogens
- Undertake temperature monitoring, shower head cleaning and disinfection, Tank visual inspections, TMV servicing, AHU servicing
- Drive the company vehicle as required to meet the needs of the service
- Participate in the on-call rota
Requirements
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 equivalent qualification relevant to Plumbing
- Legionella/TMV/Disinfection awareness and training
- Water hygiene training (Desirable)
- Valid driving licence
