Service Director

The Kymenlaakson Jäte Oy, a municipally owned leader in circular economy, seeks a Service Director to strategically develop municipal waste management services. The role involves driving strategic development of community waste management services together with department heads and experts, and coordinating at a regional level with waste authorities and member municipalities. You will be part of the group leadership team of five and lead a ~30-person unit by example. Requirements include a suitable university degree (AMK engineer, YAMK, DI, FM, KTM), at least 10 years’ experience, proven leadership capability, stakeholder/customer service experience, ability to advance large-scale projects methodically while respecting regulatory constraints, a developmental and forward-looking mindset, excellent collaboration skills, and very good spoken and written Finnish. Preference for experience in public procurement, waste management, and service business development.
