Special Education Teacher

We are hiring a special education teacher for early childhood education to work at Håkansböle day care, Västersundom preschool, and Trollebo day care in Vanda. The unit follows the Vanda Swedish-language service area vision: We grow, play and learn together for a sustainable future. We aim for a positive, inclusive and sustainable working culture with the child’s best in focus. During 2026–2027 we will work with themes related to language and communication, play and well-being. Our unit participates in the ProSmå project to reinforce children’s socio-emotional skills and positive interaction across the unit. You will be part of the unit leadership team, guiding planning, development and evaluation of child support processes and how support targets the groups of children. You will work closely with the day care principal, early childhood education teachers and various multiprofessional teams. You should be able to consult and coach staff and guardians and teach in the groups according to the children’s needs. Co-teaching part-time or intermittently is a focus. The role includes contributing to an inclusive culture and being part of the unit leadership. The day care centers are located at Galoppbrinken 5, 01200 Vanda; Västersundom preschool at Hetbackavägen 3, 01200 Vanda; Trollebo day care at Vidjegränden 2, 01360 Vanda. We collaborate with Västersundoms school to promote safe transitions and lifelong learning. In the future the plan is to move to new premises at Hästhagsvägen 17, 01200 Vanda to the day care Silva; starting the 2027–2028 academic year with 4 Swedish-speaking and 6 Finnish-speaking groups under one roof.
