We are seeking a committed and motivated childcare worker for Kilterin Daycare to cover a parental leave period from 10 August 2026 to 31 December 2026. The position is a three-shift role in a full-day daycare. Work in a full-day daycare is exciting, meaningful and impactful. The daycare offers diverse pedagogical activities at all times of day, including evenings and weekends. We value every child as a person and emphasize small-group pedagogy, child participation and being heard, as well as positive pedagogy. We also value unhurriedness, the child’s opportunity to think and reflect. In our daily practice, ICT pedagogy, music, artistic expression and physical activity are embedded. The Kilteri daycare has 32 early childhood education staff. Our work community is relaxed and positive; staff are capable, committed and able to take responsibility in daily situations and decisions. Collaboration and mutual respect are important to us. The daycare is located in Myyrmäki, Vantaa, with modern, single-floor facilities. We have a large gym, an atelier and a nature-exploration room. In addition, good Finnish language skills (spoken and written) are required. Desirable: experience in shift work in early childhood education. Terms of service follow the KVTES collective agreement. Salary: 2610.95–2684.59 EUR/month. Experience-based salary supplement 3–8%. Required authorities: provide a current criminal background check; may be asked for a drug test; tuberculosis clearance for those working with children under school age will be checked.
