Apprenticeship in veneer production

UPM invites you to join a global, growing company focused on sustainable renewal. This apprenticeship program gives you hands-on experience in veneer production at the Mikkeli plywood mill (Pellavoitteet). Over two years you will learn to operate production equipment, ensure quality, and work within a skilled production team. Training and the qualification (levyalan ammatti­tutkinto) are arranged by Gradia. You will earn wages in line with the collective agreement during the training period. The program starts in autumn–early autumn 2026. You will be employed permanently after the apprenticeship. The role involves practical production work, using machinery, ensuring quality, and collaborating with your team. No prior industry experience is required; a desire to learn, reliability, and willingness to work shifts are essential. You will be guided by experienced colleagues and supported throughout the apprenticeship.
