As Head of Engineering, you will build and lead the team responsible for the Agentic AI Platform (RELEX Cortex), scaling the platform, ensuring security and dependability, and shaping its next evolution. You will manage end-to-end engineering across code review, QA, release, monitoring, incident response, and SDLC standards, and set the technical and delivery strategy for the area, including hiring, team structure, and budget. The role reports to the VP of Platform Engineering and is a hands-on leadership position focused on delivering high-quality software in a multi-tenant environment. We value an engineer who combines technical excellence with leadership accountability, comfort with ambiguity, and a passion for AI-driven product direction. You will work from either Helsinki, Finland or Stockholm, Sweden, and must be fluent in English.

Responsibilities
- Build and lead the Agentic AI Platform team and define how the team operates
- Oversee security, isolation, and production readiness of the platform
- Own end-to-end engineering: code review, QA, release, monitoring, incident response, on-call, and SDLC standards
- Shape the platform’s technical and delivery strategy, including hiring, team structure, and budget
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure the platform aligns with RELEX’s AI-native direction
Requirements
- Proven track record delivering and leading multi-tenant software systems
- Strong engineering leadership and people management experience
- Ability to architect scalable platforms and set technical direction
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Fluency in English (spoken and written)
