Infrastructure Project Supervisor

The infra projects supervisor will act as the client’s representative on major road, urban development, municipal technical and rail projects in the Helsinki metropolitan area. You will work at the core of the construction site to ensure projects progress with quality and safety. The role offers responsibility and independence, supported by a broad expert network of infrastructure, traffic, environment and rail specialists. If you have experience from infra construction sites, contracting, or construction management, this is an opportunity to shape how future daily life looks. You will be involved in site inspections, quality assurance, deviation handling, decision-making preparation, and documentation throughout the project. Daily collaboration with clients, contractors and planners is essential. The project portfolio allows you to tailor the focus to your experience and interests, e.g., traffic safety and road projects or demanding city and municipal infrastructure sites. The position combines genuine responsibility with professional autonomy. On-site you are not alone, as you have a wide and experienced network to support you. The role can be adjusted to your background: experienced professionals may take on demanding areas, while those moving from contracting, site supervision or project tasks can grow into client-side supervision with support from colleagues. We expect you to have applicable experience in infra project site management, contracting, construction management or supervision. Most importantly, we are looking for an independent, outspoken person who wants to contribute with their perspective and leave a tangible mark on a better urban environment. Responsibilities include: - Site supervision and quality assurance: field visits, on-site inspections, ensuring implementation quality, handling observations and deviations. - Occupational safety oversight: ensuring compliance with site conditions, safety instructions and regulations during execution. - Project monitoring and reporting: tracking progress, schedules and target achievement, plus necessary documentation and reporting. - Meetings and decision making: participating in site meetings, preparing decisions and solving emerging challenges. - Close collaboration with stakeholders: communicating and coordinating as the client’s representative with contractors, planners and other project parties. We look for: - Experience in infra project supervision or strong background in contractor site management - Suitable technical degree (e.g., RKM, construction engineer AMK or DI) - Ability to work independently and in a solution-oriented way on-site - Strong cooperative and interpersonal skills - Proficiency in Finnish - Class B driving license and ability to use own car Additionally valued: - Experience with demanding infra projects - Experience as safety coordinator (VNa 205/2009) - Infra certifications such as FISE Infra RAP and/or RAV (construction site supervisor) - English and/or Swedish language skills Recruitment process: Academic Work handles this on behalf of the client.
