Childcare Worker

Temporary position for a childcare worker at Kilterin day care, covering a maternity leave. The role involves three-shift work in an around-the-clock day care in Vantaa. The day care provides diverse pedagogical activities in everyday moments, including evenings and weekends. We value every child and strive to meet and listen to them, emphasizing small-group pedagogy, child participation, and positive pedagogy, while promoting unhurried activity and space for independent thinking. The work is supported by modern facilities, a large exercise hall, studio, and nature-detective room, with a large two-story outdoor area for outdoor pedagogy. The team consists of 32 early childhood education professionals, and the work community is relaxed, positive, and capable of handling everyday decisions. The position is located at Kilterin day care in Vantaa’s Myyrmäki, with single-floor, modern facilities. The daily program includes ICT pedagogical use, music, artistic expression, and physical activity. The candidate should have a Finnish-language kindergarten child care qualification and good Finnish language skills; previous shift work in early childhood education is an advantage. The contract follows KVTES terms. Salary is 2610.95–2684.59 EUR per month with 3–8% experience-based allowance. A criminal background check and possible drug testing may be required; TB screening for under-7s is checked. The job starts 10.08.2026 and ends 31.12.2026.
