About the role

FC Santa Claus is seeking a talent group and boys’ player path lead coach to strengthen the club’s player development. FC Santa Claus seeks an ambitious and development-minded coach to enhance the club’s player development in Rovaniemi. We are looking for a coach to lead the Talent groups and the boys’ player path, combining Talent activities coaching with the development and coaching of the boys’ player path. Practical coaching work emphasizes Talent groups and boys’ U-juniors. We are looking for someone who wants to take responsibility for player development, develop ambitious junior players, and at the same time take the next steps in their own coaching path. Your tasks: you will be part of FC Santa Claus’ coaching organisation in close cooperation with the club’s head coach. Your duties include: coaching the club’s Talent groups and developing activities; coaching the boys’ U-juniors; developing the boys’ player path together with the club’s coaching leadership; identifying ambitious players and supporting their development; planning and implementing training; supporting and following individual player development; cooperating with boys’ team coaches; implementing the club’s coaching line and player path in practice. What we expect from you: at least UEFA C coaching education; desire to continue training and advance on the UEFA coaching path; prior football coaching experience; strong interest in player and individual development; ability to inspire, encourage and also demand from ambitious players; good communication and collaboration skills; willingness to develop activities with other coaches; commitment to goal-oriented coaching; willingness to develop both players and yourself as a coach. What we offer: a responsible role in developing the club’s Talent activities and boys’ player path; opportunity to work with motivated and goal-oriented players; support from the head coach and other coaching staff; internal coaching education and ongoing sparring; opportunity to participate in Finnish FA coaching courses; support to advance your UEFA coaching path; opportunity to influence and build the club’s player development future; compensation commensurate with the scope and responsibility. FC Santa Claus is a Rovaniemi-based football club with about 1,000 players, offering a spectrum from casual to competitive youth football, building a high-quality, unified player path and an environment where ambitious players can develop toward their peak; we also want to be a club where coaches can train, develop and progress in their careers. If you are interested, please contact and tell your coaching background, training, and goals as a coach. Mika Salmela, Head of Coaching, tel. 040 545 3880, valmennus(at)fcsantaclausjuniorit.fi
