Contract Manager

Eltel’s Power Transmission and Renewables business is now looking for a Contract Manager to handle contractual matters for the business area’s major investment projects. Your work location can be any of Eltel’s approximately 50 locations. The business area is growing, and your role is a critical part of our projects’ success. You will work with domestic and international customers and contractors. During project tendering, you will participate in preparing and negotiating contracts and assess the content of bids and agreements, including the application of the back-to-back principle. During delivery, you will interpret and monitor contracts, coordinate additional and variation work, make claims and write responses to claims. An important part of your role is ensuring that agreed matters are delivered on schedule and continually anticipating potential risks and opportunities. Your duties also include training our personnel in contractual matters, for example FIDIC and YSE, as well as document management. In addition to the parties involved in projects, you will work closely with Eltel’s legal department. You will be part of the Power Transmission and Renewables business area and report to the Senior Contract Manager. To succeed in the role, you have suitable technical, commercial or legal education and strong experience in delivering major projects or in contractual matters and change management for infrastructure projects. You understand the lifecycle and content of contracts and can interpret their key points and terms. You can handle difficult situations and seek solutions. You think critically and commercially and can see both the details and the big picture. You are comfortable working with customers, subcontractors and other stakeholders. You are used to preparing various technical and contractual documents with the accuracy they require. You are able to work in both office and construction-site environments. As a person, you are positively firm and goal-oriented, with expertise in contractual matters. Leadership, communication and negotiation skills, as well as the ability to drive matters through, are important for success.
