About the role

Director Investor Consulting leads GTAI Finland to strengthen Germany's position as a primary investment destination for the Nordics and Baltics. The role includes developing annual investment attraction strategies, analyzing economies, building networks with decision-makers, acquiring investors at events, managing CRM-based projects, and contributing to GTAI publications. The position is based in Helsinki for a three-year fixed-term contract, with reporting lines to GTAI and employment through the German-Chamber via AHK Finnland. Proficiency in English and Finnish is required; German is a plus. Travel willingness is essential.

Job Details

Responsibilities

  • Lead GTAI Finland’s Investor Consulting activities in Helsinki
  • Draft annual investor recruitment strategies for Nordic and Baltic markets with cross-functional teams
  • Analyze Nordic and Baltic economies and key sectors to identify companies with expansion potential to Germany
  • Organize investor engagement at events, promote Germany as an attractive investment destination
  • Build and strengthen a broad network in Nordic and Baltic regions with public/private sector actors for investments
  • Maintain relationships with economic, political, and corporate decision-makers, industry associations, and authorities in Germany, Nordics and Baltics
  • Plan, manage, and document investment projects in CRM
  • Organize and support investor recruitment events
  • Produce content and concepts for GTAI publications

Requirements

  • Upper university degree (e.g., business, economics, engineering or related field; MBA preferred)
  • Strong understanding of corporate structures and strategic decision-making
  • Experience with market and competitive analysis
  • Deep knowledge of Nordic and Baltic economies and key players
  • Good understanding of political/cultural context in Nordics/Baltics and relevance to Germany relations
  • High interest in Finnish corporate culture and cross-border relationships; established network with Finnish industrial companies is a plus
  • Experience in project management and social media usage for communications and business support
  • Excellent verbal and written communication with confidence in public speaking
  • Fluent in English and Finnish; German is a plus
  • Willingness to travel; strong intercultural skills
  • Proactive, analytical, independent work style; flexible thinking and solution orientation
  • Practical proficiency with AI tools and strong MS Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word)
