A seasoned sheet metal welder with long-term daytime work is sought for Porin Terästyö Oy. The company manufactures steel structures and parts for industrial use, and is investing in production with a second laser cutting machine planned. The role focuses on reading manufacturing drawings and precise assembly and tack-welding for welding, while the actual production welding performed by others. Materials mainly include steel, as well as stainless and acid-resistant steel and aluminum; MIG/MAG welding methods are used. Responsibilities include reading drawings, performing precise assembly and tack-welding to advance the work independently and accurately from drawings. Qualifications include prior experience in sheet metal work and assembly, ability to read measurements from drawings, MIG/MAG welding skills, and ability to work independently. Finnish language skills are required; TIG welding for aluminum, safety card, and current licenses are a plus but not required.
