Assistant in early childhood education and care

We are seeking to hire again by 15:00 on 10 September 2026 a group supervisor for Inarin municipality. The position is permanent and currently located at Saariselkä Kindergarten. The group supervisor may also work at other Inari municipal daycares as needed. Responsibilities include guiding children and supporting independent activity, and taking on other day care duties as required. The role involves collaborating with the team to plan, implement, evaluate and develop early childhood education. Primary duties are in groups with children who require support. We value initiative, a development-oriented approach, good interaction skills and prior experience in similar tasks. English and/or Sámi language skills are considered advantageous. The minimum qualification requirement is a competence under the Finnish Early Childhood Education Act (540/2018) with a professional qualification in early childhood education or an equivalent qualification. The average weekly working time is 38 hours and 15 minutes. Starting salary is at least 2407.35 euros per month plus Inarilisä 3%, experience allowances and other possible supplements (e.g. language allowance) and KvTES benefits. The appointment begins on 1 October 2026 or by agreement. If a suitably qualified candidate cannot be recruited, a temporary appointment may be offered to a person meeting the qualification requirements.
