Early Childhood Education Teacher

The city of Vantaa is seeking an Early Childhood Education Teacher for Kelokuusen Daycare to join on a permanent basis. The position focuses on children under three years old in a two-teacher unit governed by a unit leadership team. The unit emphasizes positive pedagogy and play as core elements, with story-based play already implemented for several years. Team members work in pairs with mutual support, and there are six designated “home areas” where two child groups operate in their own spaces. The teaching role includes becoming part of the unit leadership group and contributing to pedagogical development through leadership team work. The successful candidate will be supported by colleagues and specialist teachers and will participate in initiatives such as ProVaka (positive group learning).
