Nature and Climate Specialist Are you an expert with an in-depth understanding of nature and climate who wants to do meaningful work for the environment? If you are passionate about carbon-footprint management and preserving biodiversity, this could be the place for you! We are looking for a nature and carbon-footprint management specialist for our expert team. You are a professional with a few years of experience and insight into corporate environmental responsibility, taking biodiversity into account. You know the standards, databases and tools used in the field and can analyse and use the information based on them. You enjoy working with figures and Excel is a familiar colleague, but you are also keen to explore new tools. You can draw conclusions from calculation results, prepare reports and communicate them with a customer-oriented approach. You understand the realities of business and enjoy discussing how to build a more responsible tomorrow with customers. In your expert role, you are confident using the terminology of the field both orally and in writing. You also actively follow developments in the industry and keep up with regulatory changes. We believe you will be best placed to succeed in this role if: You have a relevant higher education degree in the environmental field. You have at least two years of work experience in similar roles. You work independently and with an improvement-oriented mindset. You want to learn and develop. You have good interpersonal skills. You have good written and spoken Finnish and English. What do we offer you? We offer you a front-row seat in an expert organisation, where you can work on a wide range of companies’ environmental responsibility efforts. We have a flexible working model—you can decide whether to work at the office, remotely or even from abroad. Our offices are in Jyväskylä and Helsinki, and although remote work is entirely possible, we also enjoy meeting colleagues face to face from time to time. Our work culture also includes exercise during working hours (one hour per week), so you can look after your wellbeing even in the middle of the working day! For an expert role, we expect the salary to be approximately €3,000–€4,000, depending on your skills and experience. Although the role is independent, you do not have to manage on your own: you will have the support of a close-knit expert team and, of course, the whole Green Carbon team. We offer an open and relaxed workplace where everyone can be entirely themselves. Why do we exist? Our task is to create a better future. We address the climate and nature crises by developing solutions together with companies and other organisations and helping them move towards more responsible and sustainable business. Through our daily activities, we advance the UN Sustainable Development Goals and enable others to do the same. We look forward to receiving your application! Come and help us create a better tomorrow. Send your application with your CV and salary request to rekry@greencarbon.fi by 15 November 2024, using “asiantuntija, luonto & ilmasto” as the subject line. The position may be filled earlier if a suitable person is found. For more information about the role, contact our CEO: Matti Toivonen matti.toivonen@greencarbon.fi You can also reach Matti by phone on weekdays from week 44 onwards, 9:00–16:00, tel. 0400 633 033.
