Seinajoki plant is a key production site for Valio, producing a wide range of dairy products for domestic and export markets. The Food 2.0 program is a strategic R&D program (2024-2030) aiming to develop more resource-efficient and environmentally friendly production models as part of a future food system. We are seeking a Development Specialist to handle water efficiency development tasks for a year-long fixed-term role. Your tasks include developing the plant's water balance and identifying, analyzing and implementing short- and long-term development measures to improve water efficiency in the production environment. The work is project-based and requires a strong ability to drive ideas from planning to implementation. We seek an autonomous, innovative development-minded expert with ambition to drive changes and improve operations. We expect strong motivation to become an industry expert; ability to lead own work, plan, implement and report project entities; change capability and courage to implement development ideas; proactive work attitude and good collaboration and networking skills; fluent Finnish and English; a suitable higher education degree (e.g., environmental engineering, process engineering or equivalent); practical experience from industrial environments, processes or development projects; knowledge of food hygiene is a plus. We offer a unique opportunity to participate in a concrete, impactful development project and a role where you can influence the plant's environmental efficiency and future operating models. Supportive colleagues from the Seinäjoki plant and Valio teams, plus broad career opportunities within a large company. Please submit your application and salary expectations by 31.8.2026.
