Property Development Manager

Property Development Manager, Mehiläinen Helsinki Mehiläinen is a growing and innovative social and healthcare services provider in Finland and internationally. We are now looking for an enthusiastic and development-minded Property Development Manager for Mehiläinen’s social services in Helsinki. As Property Development Manager, you will be responsible for developing the properties used by Mehiläinen’s social services and the related operating models nationwide. You will work closely with business management and advance projects ranging from space concepts for new developments to property alteration projects, maintenance and partner cooperation. What will you be responsible for? Developing space concepts for our new projects together with the business and other experts. Contributing to property-related alteration and development projects and independently driving them forward. Overseeing nationwide property maintenance and upkeep contracts, including tendering, implementation and quality control. Leading cooperation with our nationwide contract partners and developing partnerships for the long term. Developing property maintenance processes, operating models and instructions. Supporting the business and acting as an expert on property-related questions. What do we expect from you? Above all, we are looking for someone who can take ownership of broad workstreams and turn plans into action. A suitable technical or commercial higher-education degree. At least five years of experience in the property sector, for example in property maintenance, property development or alteration projects. Experience managing projects and negotiating contracts. Understanding of property and building services technology. The ability to manage several projects at once and prioritise your work. A proactive and independent approach to work. Good interpersonal skills. Fluent Finnish. We also value experience in: The operating environment of social services or healthcare. Managing a large property portfolio. Lease negotiations. To succeed in this role, you need to see both the big picture and the details. You do not need to solve everything yourself, but you should know what matters, involve the right people and drive matters forward decisively. You will have a tangible impact on the premises where our social services are provided in different parts of Finland. You will be responsible for a nationwide scope and have the opportunity to develop both individual sites and our shared operating models.
