Sports facility maintenance operative

Sipoon municipality’s everyday and leisure sector’s sports services aim to maintain and develop municipal sports facilities and recreational areas to enable appropriate, diverse and safe sports activities and leisure. We are now seeking a full-time sports facility maintenance operative for a permanent position starting 1 October 2026 or as agreed. In Sipoo’s Sports Services you will work with diverse and challenging tasks. The duty of the sports facility maintenance operative is to maintain, develop and supervise facilities including football pitches, athletics fields, outdoor recreational trails, local playgrounds and beaches, artificial and natural ice rinks and ski tracks. The goal is to create conditions for hobby and competition activities as well as individual movement in these locations. The tasks also include partly repair- and maintenance-related work of facilities and various installation tasks as needed. Eligibility requires a professional qualification in sports facility maintenance or an equivalent education, or otherwise demonstrated capabilities and skills necessary for maintenance of sports facilities. We value initiative and a proactive attitude, ability to understand maintenance equipment and technology, strong customer service skills, and a willingness to travel between sites (B driving license). Advantageous are prior outdoor sports facility experience, knowledge of ice-surface maintenance, skiing-track work, and proficiency in grass and artificial turf maintenance; owning a car and proficiency in both national languages are also valued. Salary is determined according to the municipal technical personnel collective agreement (TS). The task-specific salary is 2,534.40 euros.
