Service Engineer

We are seeking a service engineer for the Österbotten welfare district, initially based at the hospital technology unit in Vaasa. The role focuses on maintenance and repair activities within the communications technology group, with responsibilities covering device and system lifecycle management, procurement and maintenance, and close collaboration with clinical staff. Duties include maintaining the telecommunications network (property network), access control and time-stamping systems, surveillance cameras, servers for property and medical devices, and collaboration with an external ICT partner on network, firewall and server maintenance in both everyday operations and projects. Technical support for clinical staff regarding device-related technical issues is also part of the role. Requirements include a suitable engineering degree (AMK or DI), experience with network maintenance and server upkeep, knowledge of relevant laws and standards, and security clearances. Proactive, solution-oriented work attitude, good interpersonal skills, and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team are expected. Finnish or Swedish language skills are required; English is an advantage.
