Interested in meaningful legal work at the heart of securities-market regulation and supervision? Are you passionate about law and challenging questions of regulatory interpretation? We offer a role where you can resolve demanding legal issues in Finnish and European supervisory work. We are looking for an experienced lawyer for demanding securities-market regulation and supervision duties. What the role involves Your duties are varied and include legal questions concerning regulation of the securities-market sector, particularly supervision under the Market Abuse Regulation and the Securities Markets Act, as well as providing legal support to colleagues. In your daily work, you will participate as part of a team in supervising public takeover bids. Your role includes implementing new legislation in supervision and drafting guidance and regulations for your area. You may take part more broadly in other supervisory and regulatory duties and development projects. European supervisory and regulatory cooperation is part of your work. What expertise and experience we expect You have worked for several years in demanding legal roles in the securities-market sector and have broad legal expertise in the regulation and duties in your area of responsibility. In previous roles, you have become familiar with company law and gained work experience in takeover bids. Your background may be in legislative drafting, legal advice or supervision. You have good, up-to-date digital skills and a higher university degree in law. Your approach and personal qualities To succeed, you have good teamwork skills and an initiative-taking approach that moves matters forward. You handle several different types of tasks at once. You can also explain regulation and its requirements clearly to colleagues. You are keen to develop your own and the team's expertise and open to new challenging duties in a continuously changing and evolving environment. What we offer Our experts work across different fields and value collaboration, goal-oriented work and continuous development. We offer the opportunity to work on meaningful, broad-ranging issues in Finnish and European supervisory communities and to promote good investor information and confidence in markets. The working atmosphere is open to discussion and supportive. You will have a skilled team behind you and opportunities to develop your expertise.
