Job Details

Responsibilities

  • Be the key decision maker for certain legal decisions in conjunction with business stakeholders and escalate other key decisions
  • Draft and negotiate international, commercial agreements focusing on strategic partnerships, B2B, supply distribution, new initiatives, marketing and public relations
  • Own and lead the legal support covering 100% of all supply relationships for Agoda; coach and mentor junior team members
  • Engage with senior management at a C-suite level
  • Provide practical legal advice on a wide range of matters; be the go-to person for the Supply team
  • Autonomously manage the Supply legal team and deliver departmental objectives
  • Lead advice on litigation and disputes for Supply stakeholders; drive improvement and innovation
  • Maintain regular communication with key business teams, global legal, finance and external counsel
  • Drive contract standards and controls across holding company/sister brand levels
  • Lead the creation of policies, procedures, training and templates to improve efficiency and compliance
  • Influence senior stakeholders on legislation in Supply areas
  • Support pan-team strategies and cross-team engagement across Agoda Legal

Requirements

  • 12+ years post-qualified experience in law
  • Strong English communication and drafting skills
  • Experience in negotiating high-complexity, risk-locating matters
  • In-house and top-tier law firm experience preferred
  • Ability to work autonomously and lead a small/medium team
  • Experience with travel industry or B2B is preferred
