We are seeking an experienced machinist for our customer in Oravainen for a permanent position via Carrot. The job involves working on diverse and demanding turning/milling tasks and contributing to the production of large components. The role suits someone who enjoys independent work and has strong professional machining skills. The customer operates as a contract manufacturing specialist and delivers high-quality metal components and complete solutions for industrial needs. The employment starts with a six-month fixed-term contract through Carrot, after which there is a possibility of permanent employment on the client company’s staff. Working time is 40 hours/week with readiness for 2-shift work. Tasks include versatile machining mainly on larger parts, executing turning/milling according to drawings, ensuring quality from start to finish. Independent work is emphasized, as you read and interpret technical drawings independently and program and operate machines with HEIDENHAIN controls. You are precise, reliable, and take responsibility for your work. You can work independently, with a partner, or as part of a team. We value initiative and genuine interest in the work. Requirements include machining experience, HEIDENHAIN and/or Siemens control software knowledge, experience machining larger parts, good motivation and ability to work independently, Finnish language skills, and CAM experience is a plus.
