We are seeking a social worker for a fixed-term temporary position in the child protection services team 4 for the period 23 Oct 2026 to 6 Sep 2027. The team operates in Koillis-Pirkanmaa, and the employee’s permanent work site is located in Kangasala. As a social worker in the service need assessment team, you will handle child welfare notifications, service needs assessments, and child protection assessments for families with special support needs. Remote work is possible one day per week when duties allow. You will be supported by an experienced lead social worker and a good work community. You will bring a collaborative and constructive spirit to the team and enjoy working with diverse stakeholders. Eligibility requires being a legally qualified social worker in Finland. Advantage if you have experience in service need assessments for families with special support needs, social welfare law-based family social work or child welfare. We also value good written and oral Finnish language skills. An advantage is a valid B-class driver’s license and the possibility to use a car. We value good cooperation and negotiation skills for working with various stakeholders. If the vacancy cannot be filled by a eligible applicant, it may be filled temporarily by an applicant with substitute eligibility under the Social Welfare Professionals Act. If needed, we work across the Pirkanmaa region.
