GIS Consultant

In the role of GIS consultant, you work both on-site and remotely for clients in the construction and infrastructure sector. You are responsible for ensuring quality, timeliness, and traceability in documentation and geodata related to the customer's distribution network. The role suits you if you have experience with documentation or planning of pipeline networks and want to work closely with project execution. You act as an important link between designers, construction management, asset owners, and operations to ensure accurate transfer of infrastructure information to management systems. The work involves a high degree of independence while being part of a competent team that supports each other and drives development forward. Responsibilities include managing and quality-assuring documentation and geodata, reviewing project and relation drawings, handling and integrating survey data, CAD data, and project documentation into GIS and documentation systems, updating network information and GIS systems during project execution, commissioning, and changes, providing technical support to project managers, designers, construction managers, and contractors, and identifying improvement opportunities in workflows, processes, and system support. The ideal candidate has a genuine interest in technology and experience with geographic information, planning, or infrastructure documentation. You are structured, quality-conscious, and understand how technical facilities are built, documented, and managed. You thrive in a role combining independent responsibility with close collaboration with various stakeholders and have the ability to see the whole in projects and information flows. You have at least 1–5 years of experience with pipeline networks: documentation or planning in GIS systems, surveying pipeline networks. Experience with GIS or network information systems, preferably Digpros systems, understanding of technical drawings, relation drawings, and survey data, and good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written, are required. Experience in planning within pipeline or infrastructure, proficiency with CAD tools like AutoCAD, or knowledge of district heating, district cooling, water, electricity, or other network operations is advantageous. Experience with surveying and handling geodata from field to management systems, reviewing project deliveries, and experience in operation, maintenance, or asset management within electricity/water/sewer/street networks or district heating is a plus. The position requires security clearance, which is a prerequisite for permanent employment.
