Närpes swimming hall is a popular meeting place for exercise, health and community. The facility hosts more than 30,000 visitors annually. This job is for you who value responsibility and service and want to help shape activities and events that make the hall a better place for Närpes residents of all ages. As a lifeguard you are responsible for safety and order in the pool area and the adjacent changing rooms. The lifeguard ensures visitors feel safe and welcome. The role also involves more than monitoring; you will contribute to developing the hall’s operations and activities. Your tasks include: monitoring the pool area and preventing accidents; creating a safe and pleasant environment; participating in planning and developing activities and events; leading and coordinating specific events when needed; providing service and information to visitors. The work is in two shifts and you will be part of a team with other lifeguards and cashiers. You ensure the hall operates smoothly and visitors have a positive experience. We are looking for someone with lifeguard or lifeguard instructor training; a responsible work approach, attentiveness and customer focus; enjoy working with people; ideas and interest in developing activities and events; ability to work both independently and with others. Proficiency in Swedish is required and Finnish knowledge is satisfactory. To work as a lifeguard you must pass the lifeguard swimming test before starting; you can preview the test at the Finnish Lifesaving Federation website. First aid training is an advantage. If you have completed lifeguard instructor or lifeguard training, please attach course certificates with your application. Why work with us?
