A temporary position for a Special Education Needs Teacher is available at Haukiputaan School for the period 10 September 2026 to 11 May 2027. Haukiputaan School is a comprehensive school located in northern Oulu. The school provides basic education for grades 1–9. In addition to general classes, the school has several small groups and one Jopo-class in northern Oulu. About 840 pupils study at Haukiputaan School, and the staff numbers about 134. The school's operations are based on the national curriculum, and its goal is to provide high-quality, safe and student-centered education. At Haukiputaan School we aim to promote pupils’ overall well-being, learning and growth into responsible members of society. We participate in national and international development projects, such as Liikkuva koulu, UNESCO ASP, Erasmus+ and NordPlus cooperation. The cooperation between home and school is a central part of our operations. The school has an active parent association that supports school life, organizes events and promotes dialogue between guardians and the school. Qualifications are determined by the regulations on qualifications of educational personnel set in the Act 986/1998, and original qualification certificates must be presented during possible interviews. Salaries are determined according to the municipal teaching staff collective agreement. Before the appointment is confirmed, the person selected must present a police certificate of criminal background for working with children, as required by law 504/2002, section 3.
