Food Service Worker

We are seeking a permanent full-time Food Service Worker for the central kitchen of Askolan municipality. As a Food Service Worker you will be responsible, together with a friendly and professional team, for the smooth daily operations of the central kitchen. The central kitchen prepares lunch meals for about a thousand clients, including special dietary meals, and serves lunch on site to about 500 people. The duties include preparing hot lunch dishes and producing meals for distribution kitchens by cold preparation methods. Shifts are primarily Monday to Friday from 6:00 to 14:15, with a weekly total of 38.25 hours. A catering-related qualification or other equivalent education is required, and previous experience in food preparation for large-scale kitchens is required. A qualification as a large-scale or diet cook or practical experience in preparing special diets is considered an advantage. Proficiency in Finnish is required. We value a flexible and positive attitude, good communication and collaboration skills, and the ability to adapt to new and rapidly changing situations. The position follows the municipal public service and collective agreement (KVTES), and pay is determined according to the collective agreement. Before starting, the selected candidate must present an acceptable medical certificate. The position is permanent with a six-month probation period. Interviews begin during the application period.
