Record to Report Senior Accounting Specialist

What you will be doing: Financial Reporting: Prepare and review balance sheet account reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and compliance for all legal entities in scope. General Ledger Management: Monitor and review general ledger accounts to guarantee the accuracy of financial information during period-end closings. Inventory: Process Inventory transactions like Goods in Transit, Inventory Reserve or engage in GRIR analysis. Operational Tasks: Independently handle daily, monthly, and ad-hoc tasks within the team’s scope, including performing closing activities as per the group schedule. Audit Assistance: Collaborate with auditors during interim and year-end audits, providing necessary data and resolving queries. Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as a liaison with customer service, sales teams, and Financial Controllers to address and resolve issues. Process Documentation & Compliance: Maintain and update process documentation (e.g., DTPs, Process Maps) while ensuring adherence to internal controls, company policies, and regulatory requirements. Process Improvement: Identify and implement opportunities to standardize and enhance processes, contributing to global initiatives. Team Support: Provide guidance to less experienced team members and support your team lead in achieving operational goals. What you need to succeed: Experience: At least 6 years of professional experience in accounting, with 4+ years in general ledger accounting. Practical knowledge of accounting or audit processes. Experience working with SAP Finance and reconciliation tools like Blackline. Skills: Strong proficiency in MS Excel. Excellent task and time management abilities. Analytical mindset with exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills. Attention to detail, accuracy, and a proactive approach to work. Teamwork and collaboration skills, with a positive attitude. Ability to manage tight deadlines and prioritize effectively. Languages: Very good written and spoken English. Education: A background in Accounting, Finance, or Economics is required.
