Due to a service network reform, we are looking for four (4) practical nurses for fixed-term positions lasting until October 25, 2026. We hope you can start as soon as possible. Tapailakoti residential service unit is a 44-bed unit providing short-term residential services for the elderly in Turengi, municipality of Janakkala. Due to the service network reform, our capacity has temporarily increased to 52 beds. Our unit cares for elderly clients who are recipients of home care on regular short-term care periods, as well as elderly clients coming from the hospital for follow-up care. Our unit is divided into four home areas where our nurses work. As a practical nurse, you will be responsible for the daily care and well-being of the elderly in our unit. Your workday consists of diverse tasks such as basic care, medication administration, nursing procedures, and multidisciplinary cooperation. You will have the opportunity to develop your own work in daily activities and through various diverse training opportunities. Our team consists of competent practical nurses, registered nurses, three physiotherapists, and a team coordinator. The work is a 3-shift rotation. We hope you have good teamwork skills, a positive attitude toward development, an interest in rehabilitation and assessment that promotes clients' ability to manage at home, and the ability to operate as part of a multidisciplinary team. The eligibility requirement for the position is a vocational qualification in social and health care or another equivalent degree. Registration in the central register of social and health care professionals is required. Participation in medication administration requires a valid medication administration training, which you can update with us at the start of employment if necessary. Those working with the elderly must present a criminal record extract as referred to in Section 6.4 of the Criminal Records Act, in accordance with Section 28.1 of the Act on the Supervision of Social and Health Care (741/2023). Remuneration and other terms of employment are determined according to the SOTE agreement. Immediate patient and client work requires vaccination protection as required by Section 48 of the Communicable Diseases Act and a tuberculosis clearance of the respiratory organs according to Section 55.
