The position of Advanced Nurse Practitioner is to develop, promote and unify evidence-based nursing within the Tyks Vatsakeskuksen service area as part of the Operative Areas results group, in close collaboration with nursing staff and their supervisors. The role aims to clarify processes in the service area, identify development targets and implement changes into practice in accordance with organizational guidelines at service area, results group and results area levels. The work also includes operating in clinical care environments, educating staff, onboarding and supporting professional competence. The NPC will also handle information and communications tasks at the service-area level and serve as a link between different professional groups. Expanding and developing patients’ digital channels is seen as an essential part of the job. The nurse expert participates in developing patient guidance and documentation with unit staff. A large part of the work involves evaluating, promoting and coordinating quality and patient safety in the service area together with a multidisciplinary team.
