We are seeking an Industry Director for the FyGePre subunit in the Diagnostics Center of HUS. The Diagnostics Center is Finland’s leading producer of clinical laboratory and imaging services. Our primary operations span across the HUS consortium’s specialized care and the basic health care of the wellbeing regions belonging to HUS. We also oversee laboratory and imaging operations for the Kymenlaakso and South Karelia wellbeing regions. The FyGePre subunit comprises four responsibility areas: clinical neurophysiology, clinical physiology and isotope medicine, genetics and clinical pharmacology, and pre-analytics (sample collection), with about 1,100 multidisciplinary health care professionals across ~150 locations. The Industry Director is responsible for the subunit’s operations and finances, for developing and coordinating the included subspecialties throughout the HUS area, and for services offered to primary health care. The role requires a determined, collaborative leader with proven experience in leading service units, financial management, and organizational development. Success in the role requires change leadership, strong negotiation skills, and an innovative approach to reforming operations. Customer- and patient-centric practice is valued, as is experience in account management. A security clearance can be conducted with the consent of the applicant. The Industry Director’s supervisor is the Diagnostics Center results area head. The start date is 1 October 2026 or as agreed. Please apply as soon as possible, by 28 August 2026. Eligibility requires specialist medical qualification, experience in leadership positions within the field, and a licensed physician or authorization to practice medicine. Proficiency in Finnish (spoken and written) and Swedish (spoken and written) or Swedish (spoken and written) with adequate Finnish are required. Vaccination protection under the Communicable Diseases Act applies to those working with patients and customers, and health status verification for tuberculosis screening is required for those working in health care units.
