About the role
The Category Buyer is responsible for managing the sourcing and procurement of single or multiple sub-categories within a broader category. This role ensures supplier strategy alignment, cost optimization, contract negotiation, and risk management while supporting the overall category strategy led by the Global Category Manager Procurement and Regional Category Manager Procurement.

Responsibilities
- Accountable for savings target execution for Operations and Facilities categories in Finland
- Supplier Management: Identify, qualify, and manage supplier relationships, including performance evaluations and contract negotiations
- Contract Negotiation: Lead negotiations to secure favorable terms
- Cost Optimization: Drive initiatives for cost reduction and process improvements
- RFx preparation, execution, and analysis
- Assist Regional and Global Category Managers in contracting suppliers
- Develop knowledge of category trends including industry trends and cost drivers
- Manage priorities and internal customer expectations including special projects
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of prior experience in procurement is a must, preferably in Operations categories
- bachelor's degree in Related Field
- Knowledge of Purchase-to-Pay process
- Excellent negotiation skills with external suppliers
- Team player and able to work in a multicultural environment
- Strong analytical and influencing skills
- Good knowledge of SAP, Excel and PowerPoint
- Excellent communications skills in English
