Practical Nurse

A permanent position for a practical nurse is open in Seinäjoki at the Vanamo Children's and Youth Home, Kataja unit, starting August 24th. We are looking for an enthusiastic practical nurse who works with heart. We offer a developing and encouraging work community and diverse work in a strongly resourced child welfare unit. Vanamo is a child welfare unit providing foster care services for children and youth in need of special care, education, and rehabilitation (NPD, autism spectrum, intellectual disability). Vanamo has three wards: Kanerva, Kataja, and Kaarna. A practical nurse is currently being recruited for Kataja, where expertise in NPD, autism, and intellectual disability work is considered an advantage. Experience in child welfare foster care and working with special needs children and children with challenging behavior is also an advantage. Practical nurses work in a multidisciplinary team. A central task is care and educational work that encourages participation. Cooperation with children's parents and networks is also an important part of the duties. The work is three-shift work. The primary working methods used are solution- and resource-focus, a systemic approach, green care, and neuropsychiatric guidance. The practical nurse's job description includes participating in medication therapy together with the medication therapy team. Are you a team player? Are you a professional and humane encounterer? The eligibility requirement is a vocational qualification in social and health care, practical nurse (eligibility according to Act 559/1994 or 817/2015). The terms of employment and remuneration are determined according to the SOTE agreement, with a position-specific salary at the start of employment of 2767.43 €/month. A probationary period applies to the employment. An acceptable health certificate is required for the position, and a criminal record extract according to Act (504/2002) must be presented before accepting the post. The selected candidate may be required to provide a drug test result. HYVAEP is a nicotine-free workplace. The position requires vaccination protection according to Section 48 of the Communicable Diseases Act and a report on respiratory tuberculosis according to Section 55.
