Building Inspector

Mäntsälä is a growing and developing municipality in Central Uusimaa. We are looking for a Building Inspector. As a building inspector, you will work in building control in official duties according to the Construction Act. Official duties include processing permit applications related to construction, performing inspections, providing advice related to construction and other building control tasks. The building control department employs a leading building inspector and two building inspectors, one of whom is now being recruited. In the expert tasks of Mäntsälä municipal development services, you will get to work in a pleasant, low-hierarchy organization and participate extensively in various projects. Our tools are Lupapiste and the modern TieraCity built environment information model-based total solution, which is fundamentally based on ArcGIS software. The building inspector works in a permanently valid official relationship. The position will be filled according to the agreement once a suitable person is found. The eligibility requirement for the position is, in accordance with MRA 4.3 §, a suitable university degree in the construction field and sufficient experience in tasks related to building design and the execution of building work. Success in the position requires good interaction and presentation skills, IT skills and good oral and written Finnish language skills. Previous experience from the municipal sector is not essential. Success in the position is supported above all by a desire to learn and develop one's own skills, the ability to adopt changing legislation and the readiness to fluently utilize various information systems and digital tools. In addition, we consider the selected person's adaptation as part of a functioning work community to be important. Salary and terms of the official relationship are determined according to the official and collective agreement of municipal technical personnel. Position-specific salary: 4106.92 eur/month. In addition, a professional supplement can be paid based on previous work experience. A six-month probationary period is followed in the filling of the position.
