Backend Engineer

Join Tilt Finance’s NIRA team as a Senior Backend Engineer. NIRA is building a consumer credit platform for Middle India, serving ~200M underserviced people across 5000+ cities and processing 15,000+ loan applications per day. The role is hybrid, based in Bengaluru/Bangalore, India, 2-3 days per week in the office. You will shape the infrastructure strategy and product roadmap, delivering high-impact technical projects and opportunities for career growth. Responsibilities include collaborating with local and APAC engineering teams to scale the platform, expanding support for multiple financial products, driving credit policy iterations, and working with product, finance, compliance, support and analytics. Required experience includes strong Java, AWS-native environments (DynamoDB, Athena, Lambda), scaling technical solutions, and clear communication with global teams.
