Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend applications and APIs in a mainframe environment
- Utilize CICS for transaction processing and ensure optimal performance of applications
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications
- Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members
- Debug and troubleshoot issues in existing applications, ensuring timely resolution
- Participate in system integration testing and user acceptance testing
- Document technical specifications, processes, and procedures for future reference
- Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in mainframe development
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 5-7 years of relevant mainframe experience
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
