About the role

Perho Liiketalousopisto is a vocational education provider established by employers in our fields. We operate across accessible campuses in Helsinki: Malmi, Töölö and the Urhea campus (Mäkelänrinne). At Perho, students study service industry business and graduate as skilled professionals to meet restaurant, tourism and nature sector needs, and also a sports school supporting ambitious student athletes. Our community fosters a collaborative atmosphere where professionals from different fields encourage and listen to each other. We are seeking a temporary replacement for our permanent Community Facilitator role to cover the period 21.9.–18.12.2026. You will work at the Malmi and Töölö campuses with Perho’s basic degree students in diverse settings. Your main task is to activate students to move, play, and spend time together outside lessons, introduce them to our communal spaces and campus opportunities, and organize events that boost community spirit. You will collaborate closely with teaching staff and the student welfare team to promote an active and mobile everyday life and student wellbeing. We expect you to have a relevant qualification (for example, a community pedagogy, social services or basic/vocational teaching qualification), experience with youth and working with them, good cooperation and group activities experience, strong verbal communication skills, an active and athletic attitude, and a proactive, independent, and inspiring work approach with a commitment to Perho values: bold, responsible, service-minded and inspiring. Multicultural competence is an asset. We offer a diverse and challenging role, a pleasant and wellbeing-promoting work environment, opportunities for professional development, and the experience and leadership in Perho’s vocational education. Salary and other terms follow the collective agreement for private education; weekly hours are 36 h 15 min. We work with minors, so a clean criminal record for working with children and young people is required. The application window is open until Friday 4.9. at 12:00, via the Perho job portal (toihin.perho.fi). Interviews start during the application period and the role may be filled as soon as a suitable candidate is found. For more information, contact Mari Biström at 050-4316687 or mari.bistrom@perho.fi.
