We invite you to join us in meaningful work in the field of child welfare. We seek an AMK-qualified counselor for the 24/7 out-of-home care unit at Myllylinna in Kakskerta, Turku. This is a fixed-term position from 4 September 2026 to 31 August 2027. The unit is located in a peaceful area by nature, with good opportunities for outdoor activities, and has strong expertise in working with neuropsychiatrically affected children. The job involves acting as a reliable primary caregiver and a growth-oriented adult for the youth, sharing your expertise with the team, coordinating with the youth’s guardians, school and networks, and actively contributing to quality reporting, assessment and development. We offer professional development and occupational health support, a supportive supervisor, access to evidence-based methods and further training, including Nepsy training. The pay level follows the Private Social Services Collective Agreement, with G23D pay scale (€2723.92–€2969.00). In addition to shift allowance, there are possibilities for personal and position-based allowances for further training (€50–€160/month). The role requires a social and health care or education degree (e.g., social services student, nurse). Evening, night and weekend work is included, with a six-month probationary period. A driver's license, hygienic certificate and healthcare professional card are required. The contract adheres to the Private Social Services Collective Agreement, and a criminal background check is required as per the Child Welfare Act (505/2002). We aim to foster a healthy work community, with fair leadership and open, supportive atmosphere. Applications must be submitted by Tuesday 25 August 2026.
