Animal caretaker

Then you might be the person we are looking for. We are now seeking a supervisor in the agriculture industry, animal care, for our operations at Lannäslund 1 in Jakobstad. The position is permanent and full-time (100%), with start date 1 October 2026. As a supervisor at Optima you will play a central role in students’ professional development. You will work closely with young people and support them in their practical learning in animal care. Your main duties include guiding and supporting students in their practical studies in animal care, working in and developing practical learning environments, and taking responsibility for animal care. We are looking for someone with education in agriculture, with competencies as an animal caretaker or production animal caretaker. You should be confident in your professional role and have a responsible work approach, enjoy collaboration, and have good communication skills, and want to work with guiding young people. Excellent Swedish language skills are required.
