We are seeking a personal assistant for the Keski-Suomen hyvinvointialue through the personal assistance center for a young adult in Äänekoski Konginkangas. The employer has Down syndrome and cannot read or write. Communicate understandably with speech; pronunciation can present challenges. The employer is autonomous in many everyday tasks, such as using the bathroom, showering, and meals. The work is offered variably at 10 hours per month, with potential to take on more hours if needed. Work tasks include assisting in leisure activities such as visits to the swimming hall, cinemas, grocery store, and library. Salary: Heta TES A 13.23 €/h plus possible experience allowances. Positions are always private. The chosen person is employed as a guardian for the ward or the ward’s guardian. Interview/offer notifications will be provided personally. Requires fluent Finnish. It is desirable that the assistant has a car; public transport to the workplace is not easily accessible. Work begins once a suitable assistant is found. The employer may require a police background check for the employee working with elderly and disabled persons once the employment begins (Act on Supervision of Social and Health Care 741/2023, section 28).
